Background
Gary E. Siskind graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1965 with a B.A. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall in 1968.
Following his call to the Bar, Gary joined the Toronto law firm of Zaldin and Fine eventually becoming a partner when the firm changed its name to Zaldin, Fine & Siskind. In 1982 he joined the firm of Chusid, Friedman (later Macaulay, Chusid) as a partner. In 1995 the firm merged with Blaney, McMurtry where Gary remained until joining Owens Wright in April 2000.
Gary practices in all areas of real property law including acting for institutional lenders in the preparation of security relating to real property loans including development loans, commercial construction loans and permanent financing. He also acts in the purchase and sale of all forms of commercial and industrial properties, including shopping centres and apartment buildings as well as for developers, home builders and condominium builders.
Recent Transactions
Acting for institutional lenders for loans aggregating in excess of $500,000,000 in 2018.
Acting for a condominium developer building what is possibly the largest condominium project comprising one condominium corporation, in Canadian history (919 units).
