Background
Arthur L. Shapero graduated from York University in 1972 with a B.A. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto in 1976. Following his call to the Bar, Arthur commenced his law practice in 1977 with Murray H. Chusid (later Macaulay, Chusid), becoming a partner in the firm in 1979. In 1995 the firm merged with Blaney, McMurtry where Arthur remained until joining Owens Wright in April 2000.
Arthur practices in many areas of real property law with emphasis on all forms of single and multiple family and condominium developments, from the perspective of developers, builders and institutional lenders. Arthur is active in the acquisition of development lands including the preparation and negotiation of all forms of agreements of purchase and sale and servicing and cost sharing agreements for developers and developer groups.
